While knitting is still out of the picture for now, I am pleased to say that some small bits of creativity are sneaking their way back in to my brain.
I love this sophisticated version of pumpkin decorating. A bit of soldering wire, a pair of needle nose pliers and a twist of the wrist and you're all set to go.
A few tips:
- There are a few weights of wire. I like the thinner better.
- The tail of the spiral shape only needs to be about an inch long.
- Don't try to make the holes with the wire, it will bend. A very thin screw driver works well.
- Add some beads for fun. I went for the all silver look here.
And the best part ... do not throw them away. You can use these decorations year after year.

You put Martha Stewart in her place!
Love it.

That is soooooo nice! I'm thinking it could be modified for a table centerpiece or the like with a foam ball, some cloth to cover it and thenwire. Oooh, must try!

sorry to hear you are still being troubled by the vertigo - I hope that your Doctor can figure out what's causing it.

Thanks for the comments. The pumpkin will slowly rot in warmer weather. Not as fast as a carved pumpkin but try to keep it out of the sun. The one on our front porch here in San Diego only lasted about two weeks in the 80 degree heat. Just pulled all the decorations out and make this one. Still fun the second time around.
