It's been too gloomy to take decent photos of my Stitches swag lately, so as soon as I got a few hours of morning sun, I took my chance.
I had a little accident involving the credit card and some fiber. I'll show the yarn tomorrow.
Margit, the Fiber Fiend, dyed these lovely rovings and was selling them in the Bay Area Knit Co-op booth -- the top one is merino superwash in "Reeds," the bottom is merino tencel in "Flame." I wish I'd taken a picture when Margit stopped by the Bella booth wearing her green Corsica sweater -- it's even prettier in person.
I also stopped by the Blue Moon booth as soon as I had a chance on Friday -- I wanted to make sure I got one of their sheep-to-shoe kits. This merino tencel in the Rooster Rock colorway was hanging right above the kits -- how could I resist?
Another hank of roving kept drawing my eye as I stood in line, so I just had to pick it up as well. It's merino and mohair in the "Tonalite" colorway. I'm envisioning some socks -- maybe a pair for Jason?
My one other fiber purchase was a Chasing Rainbows Dyeworks bombyx hankie in the Savanna colorway. Unfortunately, I can't take a picture of it I'm happy with, so I'll just tell you it's really pretty, with the colors blending across the square of the hankie from a bluey green, to a richer green, to gold.
