They say “you don’t get to choose your family" but if you're lucky, you would choose the ones you have anyway. I have a husband who didn’t blink when I told him I was leaving my cushy IBM job to start a knitting company (there may have been a slight twitch), brothers with companies of their own who send me thoughtful little gifts like “Getting More from your Google Ad Words” and a mother who understands the dynamics of a trade show . . . people love free stuff.
Take a peek at these adorable bead purse key chains. Each one is attached to a Bella Knitting business card launching our Bulky Cable Knit Purse collection. There are dozens of them. OK, there are hundreds of them, actually eight hundred, in a much larger box under the table. Each one of the business cards needed to be hole punched and attached to that nasty ring that holds our keys safe but is impossible to use. Each and every one was purchased and assembled by my mom.
Visitors making their way back to the Bella Knitting booth (as newbies we are way in the back, but near the food) can sign up for our mailing list, get a mini purse for free (while they last) and give thanks to moms of all ages.
I just have to add that I think Laura's mom rocks! Thanks, Laura's mom! Also, check out the newest issue of Yarnival, edited by The Purloined Letter -- my "A Grand Unified Field Theory of Stash" post is in it, alongside articles by some incredibly talented bloggers!
